Terms and Conditions
All bookings subject to Far Lane Adventures Terms & Conditions as follows:
1. THESE TERMS are between Far Lane Adventures (known as FLA) and you the client(s).
1.1 What these terms cover. These are the terms and conditions on which we supply products to you, whether these are goods or services.
1.2 Why you should read them. Please read these terms carefully before you submit your order to us. These terms tell you who we are, how we will provide products to you, how you and we may change or end the contract, what to do if there is a problem and other important information. If you think that there is a mistake in these terms, please contact us to discuss.
2. INFORMATION ABOUT US AND HOW TO CONTACT US
2.1 Who we are. We are Far Lane Adventures, a company registered in Scotland.
2.2 How to contact us. You can contact us by telephoning our customer service team at +44 7921710097 or by writing to us at firstname.lastname@example.org
2.3 How we may contact you. If we have to contact you we will do so by telephone or by writing to you at the email address or postal address you provided to us in your order.
2.4 “Writing” includes emails. When we use the words “writing” or “written” in these terms, this includes emails.
3. LESSON TERMS
3.1 There is a maximum class size of 8 people per 1 instructor for ski/snowboard and Mountain Bike lessons (Coaching Camps). Normal class sizes are no more than 6 people and all classes are private lessons (your group only).
3.2 Lessons will run dependent upon the length of time you have booked the lesson for, we recommend you have purchased any ski hire or lift passes before the lessons begins and also make sure that your equipment fits and is fit for purpose as this may rob you of valuable teaching time.
3.3 Lessons are divided by level this means the class can only be delivered at the level of the lowest ability.
3.4 All lesson times include time travelling on uplifts or waiting in uplift ques. We recommend you have a toilet break before or after the lesson.
3.5 All children must be dropped off and picked up at the beginning and end of lesson by an adult. It is also the parent’s responsibility to collect and look after their child at lunch-time if morning and afternoon sessions have been booked. Parents / Guardians / Appropriate adults must make themselves known to the instructor who will be teaching their child. It is the responsibility of the client to be on-time to collect their children after the lesson. To take into the possibility of arriving late please ensure that you are at the arranged meeting point 15 minutes early.
3.6 It is the participant’s (participant’s parents in the case of children under the age of 16) responsibility to inform us of any medical conditions or medications.
3.7 We reserve the right to ask a participant to leave the lesson if they are jeopardising the safety of other guests in that lesson or area. Also, if the participant is under the influence of alcohol of drugs, or not dressed appropriately for the weather conditions.
3.8 It is the participant’s responsibility to dress appropriately for the environment. We recommend helmets for all participants in lessons, for children it is compulsory to wear a helmet during class.
3.9 From time to time we may photograph classes in action and use as promotional material on social media, printed media, online and on the website. For any close proximity photographs, where individuals are easily identifiable, verbal consent will be asked for at the time. At this point you will have the option to abstain.
4.1 FLA reserve the right to cancel a lesson for a number of reasons, in which case, you will be offered a full refund, or an opportunity to reschedule the lesson or take credit.
4.2 If you wish to cancel a lesson, FLA must be notified at least 48hrs prior to the lesson if you wish to receive a full refund. If the cancellation is made within 24hrs of the lesson a 50% refund will be given. If you do not inform us before the lesson a 0% refund will be offered.
4.3 All cancellations must be confirmed via email, phone call, text or messaging service.
4.4 Your lesson is not confirmed until full payment has been received and a confirmation email has been received.
4.5 Prices are correct as of time of booking. Prices may be subject to revision at any time but will not affect the price given at the time of confirmed booking.
4.6 All lessons are to be paid in full at the time of invoice by PayPal or unless otherwise agreed by FLA and the client(s).
4.7 Our Instructors will wait no longer than 15minutes for you at the arranged meeting point unless notified prior to this by the client. After this point the lesson will be forfeit and no refund will be offered.
4.8 If a lesson does not take place due to unforeseen circumstances, such as bad weather or Piste Closure, we will offer a rescheduled lesson on an agreed day or a full refund. If this happens within the lesson time the equivalent time back or monetary value will be offered as a refund.
5. Accident and Injury
5.1. Whilst FLA takes all reasonable precautions to prevent accidents or injury, you acknowledge and agree that some of the activities you participate in on the course carry a risk of accident and injury. You undertake not to take any unreasonable risks, and you accept that if you do, then you are responsible for the consequences of your own actions.
5.2 FLA will make all reasonable checks to ensure that those involved in the preparation and provision of its courses have the appropriate qualifications.
5.3 Descriptions, information and opinions given on its website in respect of other suppliers whose services are used are given in good faith, based on the latest information available at the time.
5.4. FLA will be under no liability whatsoever if you suffer loss, death or personal injury where there has been no fault on the part of FLA or its employees, agents or suppliers and the loss, death or personal injury suffered is attributable to your own acts or omissions or to the acts or omissions of a third party not involved in providing the services which make up your course, or to unusual or unforeseeable circumstances or events which could not have been anticipated or avoided by FLA or its employees, agents or suppliers even with the exercise of all due care. FLA’s liability to compensate you and the amount of such compensation is subject to the following limitations:
5.5 In the case of damage other than death, illness or personal injury, compensation is restricted to a reasonable amount having regard to such factors as, inter alia, the course cost and the extent to which the enjoyment of your course can be said to have been affected.
